This last week was full of new events. Along with our typical dive days we had Earth Day and had a weekend trip to Bacalar. On Earth Day we went into Mahahual and set up environmental games with the kids at the local school. We were playing games with the kids for a few hours lasts and it was totally fun and it made me want to do T.E.F.L. (teaching english as a foreign language) even more. Along with Earth Day we had another beach clean this last Friday and it amazes me how much garbage we collect every week. Right after the clean up, the staff set up a car crash scenario where we had to attend to the "victims" and practice our emergency first responder training. It was a funny scenario but also really good practice. In regards to this weekend, a group of us took a bus to Bacalar and we went to Cenote Azul. We stayed in a pretty well priced hotel with an amazing view of the laguna. We went out later that night and we all had a great time. Then the next day we went to Cenote Azul and went snorkelling in the freshwater and climbed trees and jumped off the roof into the laguna, which was awesome. I do have to say I feel like I've been here for more than three weeks but time is going by way too fast. As for this week coming ahead we are starting rescue diver training and doing more BTEC assignements, so a lot more work ahead. But hey this weekend is our long one and some of us are planning a trip to Tulum, which I'm super excited about. So that's it until the next entry...
